Representatives of the Palestinian Hamas movement handed over a list of surviving hostages to the Israeli side. According to it, 25 of the 33 people who were to be released under the first stage of the deal are alive.
“The Hamas group has handed over a list to mediators showing that 25 Israeli hostages are still alive out of 33 scheduled for release,” Reuters reported, citing a Palestinian movement spokesman.
The agency’s interlocutor specified that Israel received the list from the mediators.
Earlier, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Hamas would release three additional hostages on 30 January.
