According to preliminary data from the Central Election Commission of Belarus, President Alexander Lukashenko has been re-elected for a seventh term with 86.82% of votes.

According to preliminary data of the Central Election Commission, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party Sergei Syrankov got 3.21% of votes, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Oleg Gaidukevich – 2.02%, businessman Anna Kanopatskaya – 1.86%, leader of the Republican Party of Labour and Justice Alexander Khizhnyak – 1.74%, while 3.6% of Belarusians voted against all of them.
According to the head of the Interior Ministry of Belarus Ivan Kubrakov, not a single offence was registered at polling stations this year.
“Despite the fact that from abroad they are trying to distort the situation – we have never had such calm elections, election campaigns!” – The press service of the Interior Ministry of the republic said in a statement.
Earlier, Alexander Lukashenko said that the conflict in Ukraine might end in 2025.
