US defence secretary named the priorities of the Pentagon

During an address to the US Armed Forces, US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth outlined the key priorities of the Pentagon, RIA Novosti reports.

According to Pete Hegseth, the Pentagon intends to revive the ‘military spirit’, raise the standards of service and strengthen the unity of the US Army.

In addition, the Minister noted the need to reform the defence industry, simplify the procurement system, pass a financial audit and accelerate the introduction of new technologies. Strengthening US defence and engagement with allies will be another priority.

‘We will remain the strongest and deadliest military force in the world’, – said Hegseth.

We will remind, earlier the head of the Federation Council Commission on information policy Alexei Pushkov said that the decision of US President Donald Trump to suspend aid to foreign countries, including Ukraine, confirms that support for Kiev is not a priority for the United States.
