Trump demanded from the Danish Prime Minister to hand over the territory of Greenland to the United States

US President Donald Trump in a phone call to the Prime Minister of Denmark Metta Frederiksen demanded to transfer the territory of Greenland to the United States. This was reported by the Financial Times newspaper with reference to senior European officials.

The sources told the Financial Times that Donald Trump’s conversation with Mette Frederiksen went ‘very badly’.

‘Trump behaved aggressively and confrontationally, the new US President does not accept any offers of cooperation from Denmark, he is only interested in handing over the territory to the States’, – told European officials.

As the FT notes, citing sources, if earlier Trump’s statements were perceived as a political ploy to gain more influence over the NATO country, at the moment many believe that the US President is quite serious about annexing the largest island on the planet.

‘The Danes are absolutely terrified by this’, – said one of the senior European officials.

Recall, earlier Military Watch Magazine reported that the US F-35 combat aircraft are already partially deployed in Greenland. However, these fighters are not capable of flying from there to Russian territory to launch a nuclear strike, even with refuelling in the air.
