US President Donald Trump accused Russia of stealing the US project to create hypersonic missiles. He said this in an interview with the Fox News TV channel.
“Under the administration of [former US President Barack – ed.] Obama, they stole the project. Russia stole the project, they got it from us,” Donald Trump said.
According to the White House leader, the hypersonic weapons project was originally allegedly owned by the United States, after which “some bad person” passed the blueprints to Russia. This contributed to the creation of the ” Oreshnik”.
Trump said that he authorised a new project, after which Washington will have “superhypersonic” missiles, which “pretty soon” will be tested and will be “much better” than Russian ones.
Recall, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the creation of the “Oreshnik” was a historic event in the rocket and space field.
