The United States aims to disable the ‘Turkish Stream’, which allows to supply Russian gas to the European Union (EU) in large quantities. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.
‘The United States <…> is coaxing Ukraine to follow Nord Streams and put Turkish Stream out of action,’ Sergey Lavrov said.
Lavrov stressed that such actions on the part of the United States are aimed at destroying the foundations of the European Union’s energy prosperity, as the United States does not need competitors ‘in any field’. That is why they approve ‘terrorist activities’.
We shall remind you that earlier, Hungarian Foreign and Foreign Economic Relations Minister Péter Szijjártó said that the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the Russkaya compressor station, which ensures the operation of the Turkish Stream gas pipeline, should be regarded as an attack on the sovereignty of consumer countries.
