Slovak opposition prepares for Maidan – Fico

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said at a joint press conference with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban that the opposition is preparing to stage a coup d’état in the republic.

On 21 January this year, the Slovak Information Service reported that it had received information about the organisation of a “long-term influence operation” to destabilise the republic.

“I cannot tell names, I cannot name circumstances, but I can say with all seriousness that the Slovak opposition is preparing for Maidan. The Slovak opposition is preparing to occupy government buildings, will resist the work of the government, will co-operate with foreign forces”, – said Robert Fico.

Earlier, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said that a complete stop of Russian gas transit through Ukraine would cause significant problems for the countries of the European Union.
