German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has said US President Donald Trump will be a challenge for Europe.

“President Trump, as is now clear, will be a challenge,” Scholz said at a joint press conference with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris.
According to him, Trump has made a number of decisions that will be carefully analysed by the FRG and its European partners.
The chancellor also added that Europe and the US have a long history of partnership.
Earlier, Scholz called the United States and Germany friends in his congratulations to Trump on assuming the office of the US president.
