Finland will send a missile boat to the Baltic as part of a NATO mission

The Finnish Navy will send a Hamina-type missile boat to the Baltic Sea. It will join NATO’s Baltic Sentinel mission.

According to a statement published on the Finnish Navy’s website, several Finnish naval units will soon take part in the joint operation.

“In addition to the ships… a Hamina-type missile boat will be deployed as part of NATO’s 1st Permanent Naval Group,” the message said.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that NATO used the cable emergency to build up its presence in the Baltic.
