Ukraine expects to receive 30.6bn euros in aid from the EU in 2025

Kiev expects to attract 30.6 billion euros of budgetary support from the European Union in 2025. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine

‘The EU is the largest donor of direct budgetary aid since February 2022. 45 billion euros were attracted during this period from the EU countries to finance priority budget expenditures. In 2024, EU budgetary aid accounted for more than 40 per cent of all external revenues – €16.1 billion. This aid includes €3bn in grants. The remainder consists of concessional loans. In 2025, the EU envisages 30.6bn euros of budget support for Ukraine,’ the press service quoted Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko as saying.

In addition, the ministry stressed that 18.1bn euros were envisaged at the expense of revenues from frozen Russian assets, and 12.5bn euros – through financial assistance under the Ukraine Facility.

Just to remind you, the South China Morning Post reported earlier that Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov failed to convince South Korea to start supplying arms to Kiev.
