Kosachev: Trump realises that it is possible to communicate with Kiev in a notified manner

According to Konstantin Kosachev, vice-speaker of the Council of the Russian Federation, US leader Donald Trump understands that it is possible to communicate with Kiev in a notification procedure.

‘Trump understands perfectly well that it is possible to communicate with Ukraine in a notification procedure, as he already does with Europe,’ Kosachev said.

He noted that Trump’s inauguration speech did not mention Ukraine. The President said only about wars unnecessary for the USA.

At the same time, the senator added that without agreements with Moscow, Trump will not be able to achieve a cessation of hostilities.

‘Ultimatums and new sanctions will not pass, the past administration reached a ceiling in them,’ he said.

During his inauguration, Trump never once mentioned Russia or Ukraine.

He later said Moscow would be ‘in trouble’ if it backed out of a ‘deal’ on Ukraine.
