Russia increased oil and LNG supplies to China in 2024

Based on the results of the past year, Russia has increased oil and LNG supplies to China. This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to data from the Chinese General Administration of Customs.

 

According to the Customs Administration, oil shipments to China increased by 1.36% to 108.47 million tonnes (worth $62.425bn), and the growth of shipments in 2024 was 2.84% YoY.

In addition, LNG supplies have also increased. Last year, Russia sent 8.309 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas worth $4.997bn to China, which is 3.3% more than in 2023. At the same time, the value indicator was reduced by 3.57% y/y.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Energy, Sergey Tsivilev, said that Moscow and Tehran had agreed on the route of the gas pipeline through Azerbaijan.
