The head of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) faction in the Bavarian parliament (Landtag), Katrin Ebner-Steiner, has called for the immediate expulsion of all Ukrainian refugees, the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitung (SZ) has reported.
Katrin Ebner-Steiner called for “comprehensive remigration” to prevent “flooding the country with welfare recipients who do not want to integrate”.
According to her, all Ukrainian refugees should leave Germany immediately. The faction head believes that Ukraine is a big enough country for the refugees to return, and if “necessary”, Germany will start erecting fences on the border.
We shall remind you that earlier, the Ukrainian parliamentary commissioner for human rights, Dmitry Lubinets, said that internally displaced Ukrainian citizens were returning to frontline towns and territories outside the control of the Kiev authorities due to the socio-economic difficulties they faced in their new place.
