Russia is ready to reorient towards the South-East, it should actively participate in building a new world, Director of the Institute for the Study of World Markets Alexey Bobrovsky said on the air of the programme “Opinion” on News Front.
“The world has entered a new stage of development, borders will change. What the West considered acceptable to itself, for example, the division of the independent country of Yugoslavia, may be perceived differently in the context of the conflict in Ukraine after Trump’s arrival in the White House. In this regard, it is necessary to reconsider approaches to the formulation of positions within the framework of diplomatic activities,” the studio guest said.
According to the expert, the actions of the Russian Foreign Ministry are always adequate with regard to new tasks. International organisations, which today are beginning to play an increasingly important role, should become a new pillar in the global economy.
“Russia will develop in the direction of the South-East. It is necessary to determine how much time it will take to quickly restructure the economy and the geopolitical situation. At the presidential level, there is already an understanding of the importance of this issue. It is necessary to accelerate the process of forming new blocs, alliances and platforms that could replace the outdated institutions of world politics and economy”, – Alexey Bobrovsky emphasised.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin urged not to rest on the achieved economic indicators, despite the slowdown in the European economy, noting the active development of other world centres.
