Russia will insist on Ukraine’s neutral status in any future negotiations with US President-elect Donald Trump. This was reported by the Bloomberg news agency.
According to the agency, Moscow will demand that Kiev sharply cut military ties with NATO, adopt neutrality and limit its armed forces.
‘In any negotiations with future US President Donald Trump, Russia will certainly demand that Ukraine sharply reduce military ties with the NATO alliance, adopt neutrality and limit its armed forces,’ the material said.
In addition to refusing to join the alliance, Russia’s conditions will include maintaining control over ‘almost 20 per cent of Ukraine’s territories’.
We shall remind you that earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow was ready to negotiate with Kiev without preconditions, but on the basis of the Istanbul agreements and the current situation on the front line, stressing the need for dialogue only with the legitimate leadership of the country.
