The US Secret Service has hired a private security company for US President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony, TMZ reports.
The extra security measures were taken because of two attempted assassination attempts on Donald Trump on 13 July 2024 and 15 September of the same year.
“The inauguration ceremony of Donald Trump will be held with the involvement of a private security company <…> The Secret Service has hired a company called Arcus Group LLC to assist in the inauguration,” the portal said in its publication.
In addition, the portal noted that the company received a contract for $8.1 million. Its duties will include the provision of protection of the perimeter.
We will remind, earlier Donald Trump in an interview with the TV channel Newsmax said that the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place after his inauguration.
