The US is concerned that US President Donald Trump’s inauguration could attract extremists and terrorists.
‘US national security agencies are warning that President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration could be a ‘potential target’ for extremists, although they say there are no specific real threats,’ Politico reported, citing a special report from several security agencies.
According to the authors of the material, potential criminals with ‘grievances’ could view Trump’s swearing-in as ‘the last opportunity to influence the election results through violence.’
The inauguration of the new head of the White House will be attended by American entrepreneur Ilon Musk, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. The head of the EC Ursula von der Leyen was not invited to the event, which will be held on 20 January.
