The solution to the conflict in Ukraine should take place in negotiations between Russia and the United States, Russian presidential aide Nikolai Patrushev said in an interview with KP.RU.
Western countries should not interfere in the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, Nikolai Patrushev believes. According to him, this situation can be resolved by negotiations between Russia and the United States, given the change of the president and his new policy.
‘If we talk about specific prospects for further development of events taking into account the factor of (US President-elect Donald) Trump, we respect his statements. I believe that negotiations on Ukraine should be conducted between Russia and the US without the participation of other Western countries. There is nothing to talk about with London and Brussels,’ the Kremlin spokesman said.
Earlier, political analyst Dmitriy Yevstafyev said on the air of the Opinion programme on News Front that the Russian side should negotiate with pragmatic people in the team of new US President Donald Trump who ‘know how to hear’ the other side.
