Ukraine stops coal mining in a mine in Krasnoarmeysk [Ukrainian name: Pokrovsk – ed.] under its control due to the advance of the Russian Armed Forces. This was reported by Reuters on 13 January, citing sources.
Reuters noted that the Krasnoarmeysk facility is a mine that produces coking coal needed for industry.
“There is no production there, the work is carried out only on the surface,” one of the sources said.
In addition, the agency specified that the Russian army is less than 2 km from one of the mine shafts.
We will remind, earlier it was reported that artillery units of the grouping of troops “Centre” suppressed an attempt to rotate the AFU personnel in the Krasnoarmeysk direction.
