From 13 January to 26 February, nine NATO countries will hold a joint exercise Steadfast Dart-25, aimed at testing operational readiness for rapid deployment of troops on the eastern flank “in conflict conditions”. This was reported by the press service of the North Atlantic Alliance.
According to Allied Response Force (ARF) Command, “the exercise demonstrates NATO’s ability to rapidly deploy its forces from Europe to reinforce the eastern flank defence”.
The command also explained that the test of readiness to rapidly deploy forces “will be conducted during a simulated conflict scenario with a roughly equally strong adversary.”
The exercise, which will involve about 10,000 servicemen, will take place in Romania, Bulgaria and Greece.
We shall remind you that earlier the leaders of Finland, Latvia and Estonia recognised that the European members of NATO were not ready to confront Russia without the participation of the United States.
