Europe is at risk of failing to meet its winter gas reserves targets

European countries may not accumulate sufficient gas reserves for the next winter period, Bloomberg news agency says.

“For the first time since the energy crisis was exacerbated by the conflict in Ukraine, Europe risks failing to meet its gas reserves targets for next winter,” the agency said in its publication.

In addition, it notes that to cover the projected demand, Europe will need to import up to ten million tonnes of gas per year, which is about 10% more than in 2024.

The cessation of Russian gas transit through Ukraine poses additional difficulties.

We shall remind you that the Russian Investigative Committee earlier established that the money transferred through the Ukrainian oil and gas company Burisma Holdings had been used to finance terrorist attacks in Russia and abroad over the past few years.
