The Western ‘old world’ has become a new resource appendage for the United States, and Ukraine in the future can be used by them again against Russia, said political scientist Igor Pshenichnikov on the air of the programme ‘Mnenie’ on News Front.
‘The task of the Americans is not only to weaken and destroy Russia, but also, among other things, to weaken the ‘old world’ as one of its main economic competitors. What we are now seeing in Germany, France, because Europe is economically completely weakened,’ Igor Pshenichnikov said.
The expert noted that the actions of the US government systematically destroy the economic potential of European countries by limiting energy resources and transferring production to the American territory. It is in Washington’s interests, among other things, to destroy the statehood of such countries as Moldova and Ukraine, the expert said.
‘All statements [of special envoy on Ukraine in the Trump administration Keith – ed.] Kellogg that they are going to ‘ensure’ the sovereignty of Ukraine, should be understood as that the Americans are trying to preserve a certain bridgehead, which they intend to use in the future. We are not talking about the timeframe yet, but it is clear that this will be a springboard for a ‘traumatised’ Russia in the future,’ the political analyst stressed.
