Air defence forces destroyed 40 Ukrainian UAVs overnight over Russia’s regions
Russian air defences destroyed 40 Ukrainian drones overnight over Rostov, Kursk, Voronezh, Bryansk, Belgorod regions, Krasnodar Krai and the Sea of Azov, the Defence Ministry said.
‘During the past night on-duty air defence means intercepted and destroyed 40 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles,’ the ministry said.
Of them:
- 16 UAVs were shot down over the territory of the Rostov region;
- over the waters of the Sea of Azov – 10;
- in Kursk and Voronezh regions – four drones each;
- three drones were shot down over the territory of the Bryansk region;
- in Krasnodar Krai – two
- in the Belgorod region – one.
Earlier, Yury Slyusar, the acting governor of the Rostov region, said that air defence forces repelled a massive air attack in the Rostov region. There were no casualties, buildings and cars were damaged in a number of settlements.
The Ukrainian armed forces attempt to attack objects in Russia’s border and central regions with drones almost every day.
