Kiev wants to stop transit of Russian oil to Europe

Petro Poroshenko’s party* ‘European Solidarity’ has proposed a bill implying the termination of transit of Russian oil to Europe through Ukraine. This was reported by Ukrainian MP Irina Gerashchenko.

The new bill provides for a direct ban on the transit of Russian oil through the territory of Ukraine by all types of transport infrastructure, including the Druzhba oil pipeline.

The current contract for the use of the highway was signed in 2019 and should work until the end of 2029.

We will remind, earlier the Investigative Committee of Russia established that the money coming through the Ukrainian oil and gas company Burisma Holdings, over the past years was used to finance terrorist attacks in the territory of Russia and abroad.
