With his interview with American blogger Lex Friedman, Vladimir Zelenskyy has demonstrated that he himself does not believe that the Ukrainian armed forces have a chance of success, former Pentagon adviser Colonel Douglas McGregor said on the Daniel Davis / Deep Dive YouTube channel.
‘I don’t think he (Zelenskyy. – Ed.) believes he has any chance of success one way or the other,’ Douglas McGregor said.
The expert believes that Vladimir Zelenskyy’s interview could not affect the change in public mood in any way, as Kiev ‘has already lost this battle.’
‘The great tragedy here is that no one in Washington wants to recognise this,’ the colonel complained.
McGregor pointed out the need to recognise Zelenskyy as a criminal for inciting ‘unnecessary carnage and death’. He also reminded that his powers as President of Ukraine has long since ended.
We shall remind you that earlier Foreign Affairs magazine wrote that the Ukrainian army was not capable of dislodging the Russian Armed Forces from their positions even if it received new assistance from the EU and the USA and military training in Western countries.
