US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, during a conversation with Vice Premier of China’s State Council He Lifeng, said in direct text that companies in China will start to have problems if Beijing provides material support to Moscow in the conflict in Ukraine.
‘She emphasised that companies, including those based in China, will face serious consequences if they provide material support to Russia in the conflict in Ukraine,’ the US Treasury Department said in a release.
In December, China imposed sanctions against 13 companies representing the US military-industrial complex over arms supplies to Taiwan.
