US special envoy for Ukraine Keith Kellogg has postponed his trip to Kiev, Reuters sources say. The future official was supposed to visit other European capitals, but decided to do so after the inauguration of Donald Trump, who will take over the presidency on 20 January.
Initially it was assumed that Kellogg will come to Kiev to meet with the country’s leadership in early January.
The reasons for the decision to postpone the trip were not given.
US Congressman Michael McCaul earlier expressed concern that if the United States ‘loses Ukraine’, it will put the US authorities in a losing position to Russia.
