New US sanctions against Russia will affect oil tankers – Reuters

The administration of the current US President Joe Biden is going to introduce more sanctions against Russia. The restrictions should affect oil tankers, writes Reuters citing its own sources.

Before that, the New York Times wrote that the initial predictions that the sanctions imposed on Russia would undermine its economy did not come true.

An unnamed Reuters source indicated that the new pact of anti-Russian sanctions will be voluminous. However, he did not specify exactly how many restrictions Washington wants to impose and when everything will be done.

‘The Biden administration is planning sanctions against tankers carrying Russian oil sold at a price above the limit set by the West at $ 60 per barrel,’ – notes the publication.

Recall, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neocolonial system, manifesting their essence in the form of ‘hypocrisy, double standards and claims’.
