Gas reserves in Europe are burning gas reserves faster than at any time in the last seven years, Bloomberg agency reports citing sources.
‘While there is no risk of an immediate shortage, the rapid depletion could make it harder to build up reserves ahead of the next heating season and risks affecting short-term prices,’ Bloomberg said in the publication.
Gas storage levels have fallen by 25 per cent, according to Gas Infrastructure Europe data analysed by the publication. Such a peak has not been recorded since 2018.
‘In most countries of north-western Europe, the weather has become colder, which may provoke further withdrawals (gas from storage – ed.) in the coming days, as gas consumption for heating needs is growing,’ – stated in the material.
We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neocolonial system, manifesting its essence in the form of ‘hypocrisy, double standards and claims’.
