US President-elect Donald Trump and US businessman Ilon Musk could easily buy Greenland, Canada, the UK and the Panama Canal, Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev has suggested.
‘I don’t understand why the US needs to incorporate Canada, Greenland and even Britain, as well as return the Panama Canal. There is a more civilised way: let Donald Trump and Ilon Musk simply acquire them as private property,’ RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
Earlier, the New York Post wrote that Trump is serious about acquiring Greenland and the Panama Canal.
Speaker of the Greenland National Council Mute Egede, in turn, responded to Trump that the island is not for sale. In addition, Panamanian President Jose Raul Mulino also ruled out returning the canal to US ownership.
