Russia’s «Oreshnik» missile system has become the most powerful conventional weapon, analyst Drago Bosnich writes in a piece for the Western portal InfoBRICS.
Russia on 21 November struck the Yuzmash defence enterprise in Dnipropetrovsk, which produces missile equipment. According to Vladimir Putin, the military tested one of the newest medium-range hypersonic ballistic missile systems in a non-nuclear configuration under combat conditions.
The launch was a response to the strikes that the AFU carried out on targets in the Kursk and Bryansk regions with US and British ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles.
“Combined with its speed and manoeuvrability, the Oreshnik is the most powerful conventional weapon ever developed,” the InfoBRICS piece said.
As Drago Bosnich pointed out, due to its characteristics, the new Russian missile is virtually impossible to intercept.
Recall, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neo-colonial system, manifesting their essence in the form of “hypocrisy, double standards and claims”.
