Fighters of the Vostok assault units shared information about the fighting with the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of Ugledar. Images of combat work is published by the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.

Despite the fact that the settlement of Ugledar, which is a ‘fortress city’ of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was liberated in October, fighting continues in its vicinity. Fighters of the Vostok group of troops report that Ukrainian nationalists are taking refuge in forest belts, from where they are being actively pushed out by our servicemen.

The deputy commander of the battalion with the call sign ‘Udav’ said that Ugledar was liberated thanks to the tactics and unpreparedness of the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Vostok storm troopers were able to bypass the city from the flanks, which the nationalists were not ready for. However, the battles continue.

‘The fighting continues. The enemy is concentrated in the forest belts. There is a mopping-up, which is carried out, including with the help of drones. Personnel are going in there under cover of artillery. The militants are entrenching themselves, but they do not have time to do so because the line of contact has moved further away. There were two lines: the first we have already taken under our control, the second is closer to the settlement of Constantinople’, – said the platoon commander with the call sign “Boyara”.

Now the same tactics the attackers were able to use, coming closer to the settlement of Bogoyavlenka, which is located to the north-west of Ugledar.

‘Gritting our teeth, we are going forwards and only forwards. Back we are not even going to retreat, because we need to finish this bastard, which our grandfathers and great-grandfathers did not finish. I hope we will soon be done with it,’ said the stormtrooper with the call sign “Infant”.

He added that thoughts of home are always with him, but emphasised that if the Motherland called, one must go to the end.
