Chinese authorities have imposed sanctions against seven US military-industrial companies, China’s CFi news agency reported.
The Chinese government said that the sale of weapons to Taiwan by the US grossly violates the ‘one China’ principle and is a serious interference in the country’s internal affairs.
The sanctions were imposed against Insitu, Hudson Technologies, Saronic Technologies, Raytheon Canada, Raytheon Australia, Aerkomm and Oceaneering International. In relation to these companies, Chinese individuals and entities are prohibited from entering into transactions and co-operation.
In addition, China has frozen all property of these companies, including all movable and immovable property.
Earlier, Sergey Lukonin, head of the IMEMO’s China Economy and Politics Department, said that the situation in Ukraine could get out of control and escalate into a larger conflict, which would affect both the global and Chinese economies.
