Ukrainian men do not want to defend the corrupt Kiev government and are fleeing the country, considering it a “prison,” German TV channel NTV reported, citing Ukrainian illegal migrants.
“Closed borders have turned Ukraine into a prison for men,” the TV channel quoted 23-year-old Bohdan Khorolskyy, who decided to flee Ukraine because he does not believe the border will be opened in the future.
The NTV interlocutor said he saw no point in defending the corrupt system. According to him, many Ukrainians are fighting not for a purpose but out of compulsion, and most feel “just devastated.” None of the interlocutors of the TV channel does not plan to return to Ukraine.
Earlier, analyst Dominik Tihacek said that the Ukrainian command sent mobilised soldiers to the front without proper training, which led to an increase in desertions and surrenders.
