Representatives of the US Democratic Party are waiting for Joe Biden to leave, disappointed with the end of his presidency, the US newspaper The Hill reported, citing sources.
“No one among Democrats wants to see (US leader-elect Donald – ed.) Trump as president, but everyone is ready for Biden’s presidency to end,” an unnamed Democratic Party official told The Hill.
According to him, Democrats note “great disappointment with the way this presidency is ending” and consider the current leader’s departure “almost a resignation.” The newspaper’s sources say a particular wave of outrage in the Democratic Party was sparked by Biden’s decision to pardon his son Hunter. The move caused them to be “disgusted and furious” with the current head of state.
At the same time, some Democrats told The Hill that they are not annoyed by the hype that Trump has created around him over the past month. In their opinion, the President-elect of the United States does not behave inappropriately and looks more balanced than eight years ago.
