Novak: there is already a tense situation with gas in Europe

The gas situation in Europe is tight right now, with storage reserves 3-5% lower than the average for the last five years.

This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak on air on Rossiya 24.

“The situation there is already quite tense, even though gas is still continuing to flow from Russia today. If it stops coming, it means the situation there will be even more complicated,” TASS quoted Novak as saying.

Qatar earlier threatened Europe with cutting off gas supplies in case of new fines under the environmental law.
