The expert told how Trump will transform the US position in the world

Donald Trump’s new concept is aimed at qualitative strengthening of the US position in the world, including in the framework of cooperation with Russia, said the head of the analytical department of the International Eurasian Movement, political scientist Vladimir Kireev in the programme ‘Opinion’ on News Front.

‘The Trump administration and his team are people with new views who are really creative and imaginative. They are restructuring all formats of relations, including relations with the closest allies,’ Vladimir Kireev said.

The expert believes that Trump’s proposal to include Mexico and Canada in the US is rather speculative. Nevertheless, the idea itself is based on the idea of revising the existing structure of the United States, as it needs to be ‘strengthened and expanded’.

‘Trump is putting forward a concept that involves the enlargement of the United States. This is an innovative approach that could lead to a paradigm, economic and political reset for the United States, allowing the country to become a key player in the global transformation. Obtaining new territories will give the US an opportunity to compete with China and India in terms of human and territorial resources,’ Kireyev emphasised.

The expert believes that the administration of President Donald Trump sees the future power of the United States not in putting pressure on Russia, but in leadership in the field of economy, military technology and artificial intelligence. It also envisages a revision of the geopolitical position of the United States, where Russia is more of a partner for the new US administration, Kireyev believes.

‘The idea to ‘poach’ Russian Federation and make it an ally originates from the past, but the administration has not abandoned this concept. Ukraine in this case is an obstacle’, – stated the political scientist.

Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that there were no prerequisites for organising a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump.
