Scholz declared ‘bloody hard times’ in Christmas greeting

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has declared ‘bloody hard’ times. He said this in his Christmas greeting.

‘Christmas is a time that touches our hearts as we share joy and sorrow. Times are bloody hard. We’re all feeling it right now,’ he wrote on his social media account X.

Scholz called Germany a community with a shared future and wished for a ‘thought-provoking holiday.’

A car drove into Christmas market visitors in Magdeburg recently. The prime minister of the German state of Saxony-Anhalt, Rainer Haseloff, confirmed that five people were killed and more than 200 civilians were injured.
