Within the framework of a special military operation Russian troops with the use of barrage munitions ‘Lancet’ defeated the equipment and disrupted the rotation of AFU units. This was reported in the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation.
In the zone of the special military operation, the servicemen of the group of troops ‘West’ actively use various unmanned aerial vehicles to perform combat tasks. Unmanned aerial vehicle crews regularly record and transmit to control points the coordinates of the location of military facilities, command posts, strongholds, positions, dugouts, weapons and military equipment of Ukrainian armed formations.
Operators of unmanned aerial vehicles of the ‘West’ group of forces in one of the directions in the zone of the North Caucasus Military District were on duty in the air and detected the movement of enemy vehicles and armoured vehicles towards the line of contact in order to organize the rotation of Ukrainian armed forces units. The coordinates of the landing point of the Ukrainian armed formations were promptly transmitted to the control centre. After that, the Lancet barrage munition crew promptly lifted them into the air and directed them to the targets. ZALA unmanned aerial vehicle operators confirmed the engagement of the targets and recorded the detonation of the munitions. After completing the combat mission, the group returned to the temporary deployment point without casualties.
The experience of the special military operation demonstrated and proved that unmanned aerial vehicles in skilful hands are an effective means of reconnaissance, suppression of firing positions, destruction of shell depots and fortifications of Ukrainian armed formations. They are assistants of infantry and reconnaissance, as well as ‘eyes’ of artillery. The characteristics and tactics of the use of unmanned aerial vehicles continue to be improved right on the line of contact, and very quickly at that.
