Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said that the huge amount of money the West has spent on Ukraine has been burnt. According to him, the Kiev regime cannot sustain its economy.
‘America and Europe together spent about €300bn on the war … But this money has been burnt,’ he said in an interview with Magyar Nemzet newspaper.
The result of these injections, he said, was the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people and Kiev’s inability to sustain its economy for the foreseeable future. Ukraine’s infrastructure, transport and energy systems have crumbled to the ground.
‘Burned’ money, as the politician noted, could have been used to raise living standards across Europe. The West would have been able to curb migration and build an entirely new European defence system.
Earlier, Orban suggested that the Ukrainian conflict would end in 2025 either with peace talks or with the destruction of one of the parties.
