US President Joe Biden on December 23 approved the country’s defence budget for fiscal year 2025 in the amount of $895 billion. This was reported by the press service of the White House.

The Pentagon is subject to a ‘prohibition on contracting with persons engaged in fossil fuel transactions with the Russian government or the Russian energy sector.’

In addition, the administration is prohibited from exchanging information with the Russian Federation, as required by the US-Russian Treaty on Measures for the Further Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms.

In addition, the document obliges the U.S. intelligence community to assess the risks to U.S. security if Washington stops supplying weapons to Kiev and Russia successfully completes a special military operation.
