Trump urged Zelenskyy to think about peace talks – El Pais

US President-elect Donald Trump sent a letter to Vladimir Zelenskyy, in which he urged to start thinking about peace talks, writes El Pais.

Earlier Donald Trump promised that he could achieve a negotiated settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. He repeatedly stated that he would be able to deal with the issue in one day.

‘When you say ‘rebuild the country’… To rebuild what? It’s a reconstruction for 110 years,’ – quotes El Pais words of the future American leader.

As indicated in the material, Trump this week sent a letter to the Ukrainian politician, in which he asked to start thinking about peace talks and giving up territories that are under the control of the Russian Federation.

We will remind, earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin called the Western ideas of the new world order hypocrisy. According to him, they are aimed solely at preserving the neo-colonial system, showing their essence in the form of ‘hypocrisy, double standards and claims’.
