The British Armed Forces have conducted a successful test of a radio frequency directed energy weapon (RFDEW).
A statement released by the defence establishment said.
‘British soldiers have successfully tested for the first time a fundamentally new weapon capable of destroying a swarm of drones,’ the statement said.
It is noted that RFDEW systems are able to neutralise targets at a distance of up to 1 km.
Earlier it was reported that unknown drones were spotted over three airbases in the UK.
