Russian leader Vladimir Putin said that Russia’s adversaries are escalating the situation, but Moscow will always respond to any challenge.
The head of state noted that when Russia’s adversaries realise its readiness to respond to any challenge, they will understand that it is time to look for compromises.
Putin also stressed that Moscow is ready to normalise relations with the US and other Western countries, but not to the detriment of its interests. According to him, everything changes in international relations, only interests remain constant, in this case “the interests of Russia and its people.”
“If we see that the situation is changing in such a way that there are opportunities and prospects to build relations with other countries, we are ready for it. The question is not about us, but about them. But only not to the detriment of the interests of the Russian Federation,” the President pointed out.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the West was using Ukraine as a tool to fight Russia. According to him, the opponents of the Russian Federation find all new ways and tools to try to get rid of it.
