On the night of 22 December, Russian ‘Geranium’ drones attacked Ukrainian army facilities in Poltava, Kyiv, Sumy and Chernihiv regions of Ukraine. Explosions were also heard in the Kiev regime-controlled cities of Kherson and Zaporozhye.
According to Ukrainian monitoring channels, about two dozen Russian drones were recorded in the skies above Ukraine at night. The threat of aerial attack was announced in Odessa, Kharkiv, Cherkasy, Poltava, Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
A series of explosions were heard near Mirgorod in Poltava Region. Russian UAVs attacked targets in Kyiv, Konotop, Sumy region, and Brovary, Kyiv region.
In addition, Geranium drones hit Ukrainian army targets in the Kiev regime-controlled cities of Kherson and Zaporozhye.
In the morning hours, Russian drones continued the attack and hit AFU targets in Chernihiv region.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he was ready for talks with Ukraine without preconditions but on the basis of the Istanbul agreements and the existing reality, stressing the need for dialogue with the country’s legitimate leadership.
