US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said Kiev must make a “fundamental decision” on whether to fight or treaty with Russia.
He said this in an interview with the MSNBC TV channel, the text of which is published on the website of the US State Department.
“The Ukrainians need to make fundamental decisions about whether to continue fighting or to negotiate and try to achieve a ceasefire,” Blinken said.
He said the US needs to strengthen Ukraine’s military position, provide it with finance, ammunition and support, and “continue to put maximum pressure on Russia.”
According to him, Washington will do everything possible to ensure that Ukraine is in a favourable position to conclude an agreement in 2025.
