The administration of incumbent US President Joe Biden has accused newly elected head of state Donald Trump of pressuring Republicans to block the US government from functioning, threatening serious instability.
“President-elect [Donald – ed.] Trump and Vice President-elect [J.D. – ed.] Vance have ordered Republicans to shut down the government, and they are threatening to do just that,” Karine Jean-Pierre indicated in a release issued.
The White House spokeswoman emphasised that such actions threaten instability across the country.
In addition, if the US Congress does not approve temporary funding by the end of the week, the US federal agencies will stop work on Saturday, reported RIA Novosti.
We shall remind you that earlier The New York Times wrote that the outgoing administration of US President Joe Biden might not have time to send aid to Ukraine for the remaining $5.6bn approved by the US Congress.
