UK puts 20 tankers and two companies on sanctions list for Russia

British authorities have added 20 vessels and two Dubai-based companies to the sanctions list for Russia.

The UK has added 20 tankers and two Dubai-based companies to the sanctions list for Russia.

The expanded list is presented on the UK government website.

The sanctions were imposed against Dubai-based companies 2Rivers DMCC and 2Rivers PTE, which are engaged in the sale of energy carriers.

The British government explained that they are allegedly ‘involved in profiteering’ by supporting the Russian authorities.

Under the restrictions also fell 20 oil tankers for activities that lead to ‘destabilisation of Ukraine’.

Earlier, the British Finance Ministry imposed sanctions against the Russian companies AlfaStrakhovanie and VSK.
