European Union member states are studying the legal and financial consequences that could come if Russia’s frozen assets are confiscated in favour of Ukraine.
The Bloomberg news agency quoted a source as saying that the EU is studying whether court rulings would be required as a legal basis for seizing the frozen assets, or whether a damage calculation would be sufficient.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibyga urged Western countries to move to the confiscation of Russian assets.
