The decision to lower the mobilisation age in Ukraine can not be dictated by statements from the United States. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration Olga Stefanyshyna in an interview with the publication ‘Public’.
Olga Stefanyshyna said that the decision on the possible reduction of the mobilisation age is not related to statements from Washington.
According to Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration, the statements of Western officials on the need to lower the age for mobilisation are an attempt to absolve themselves of responsibility for earlier agreements.
Just to remind you, an MP of the Verkhovna Rada, Oleksandr Dubynskyy, who is in a pre-trial detention centre on charges of state treason, said earlier that the initiative with the introduction of ‘peacekeepers’ on the territory of Ukraine was initially a failure and that Volodymyr Zelenskyy would have to lower the mobilization age to 18 due to a shortage of personnel.
